Getting Around
Travel in Guelph is made pretty easy, even without a car. A lot of the roads in the city have bike lanes, and there are many places you can buy a bike while you are here, such as Canadian Tire, Speed River Bicycle and Bits, Bikes and Boards. The prices will range depending on what you buy, and the local run shops (Speed River Bicycle and Bits and Bikes) will probably cost you a bit more. Bikes can also be rented for $30 a day from Speed River Bicycle.
Furthermore, Guelph has an extensive bus system. A one-way ticket costs $2.75, a day pass is $7.00, and you can buy tickets in packs of 10 for $23.00. A slightly pricier option, there are numerous cab companies in town. One such option is Red Top Taxi who can be reached at (519) 821-1700. If you're interested in the cheapest option, it's about a 30-40 minute walk from central campus to the downtown.
Recreation
The Arboretum
