Evening workshops:
There will be the opportunity to gather informally and engage in creative improvised music making in the evenings. Bring an instrument if you can and wish to do so. We are also organizing a voice workshop and a music/theatre workshop to explore various forms of musical embodiment.
Wine Tour:
On Sunday September 5th, our group will visit the Niagara Peninsula and celebrate the bounty of the vine. This will include lunch and a visit to a couple of the region’s famed wineries.
Guelph Jazz Festival Colloquium: (September 8th - 10th, 2010):
Most participants will be presenting a paper at the Guelph Jazz Festival Colloquium. We advise those presenting at the colloquium to arrive at the institute with a draft of their paper.
Guelph Jazz Festival: (September 10th-12th, 2010).
